Drinks Russian Style. What is it to drink "like a Russian"?

Here is how :-)
First, Russians say that a question: "Do you WANT to drink?" is not correct. The "right" question is: "Are you GOING TO drink?" And there is just one answer. I think you have already guessed which one it is :-) Okay, - drinks Russian style - let us start:
1. You get a bottle of vodka in a nearby 24/7 kiosk. (There are endless small 24 hours kiosks and shops near every subway "Metro" station in Moscow and St.-Petersburg.There is an incredible amount of different vodka manufacturers, and thus a huge choice of vodkas for any taste. For example
"Родник" which means "Spring" :-)
"Triumpfalnaya" (I think you guessed the meaning),
"Водка XXI век" (XXI century vodka),
or Vodka ŤTayozhnayať, a quote from the description on the label:
"This vodka has something mysterious to it. At every sip you feel the delicate and pleasant aroma of the taiga in spring"
(Ever experienced the taiga in spring? :-) Could be the right choice, who knows!)
The classics are for sure "Pshenichnaya" and "Stolichnaya".
Okay, let us suppose that you were lucky enough to get the original and not falsificated vodka, and will take it relatively easy on your lever.
2. You have to drink your vodka from a glass of course :-) (Стакан гранёный.) No tiny wine glasses, please! Think big! Pure, simple, 250 ml. glass. Throw it behind your back, when you are done. And get yourself a new one!
3. Important! After you drink all of your vodka in one gulp, you have to eat it with a "солёный огурец", a pickle! Pickle is a must!!

4. And another very important thing; ALWAYS MAKE A TOAST. There are many traditional Russian variations like: " To everyone present", "To everyone absent", "To those who are at sea", and so on... Do not restrain your fantasy!

Usually Russians drink quite a lot (no, it is not a fiction :-) and necessarily agitate everyone around them to have drinks as well. Sometimes it becomes really difficult to escape from these persuasions, even before leaving any Russian party, one has to get a drink на посошок, meaning that this last shot will act as a stick for you to lean on, on your way back home. Great idea!
